April Fool's

According to recent findings, It has been determined that those whos birthday lie on the first of April are qualified to use the "April Fool's" pranks or jokes any time throughout the year. These same studies show that those named Josh born on that day are even more able to continue the April 1 joking. This holds especially true throughout the month of April.

Online Resume

I'm now building an online resume. It's a work in progress, and you can find it at www.JoshTenney.com.

Summer Update

Hello faithful reader of Tennor's Blog! ("Faithful Reader" being myself, really) Let's see, what's happened since my last blog entry? It's been a month and a half. Mainly I've been working! This last week was spent mostly at the LDSBA convention. It's a convention for LDS booksellers. Liken had a huge, amazing booth that blew everyone away. We won the award for "Most Outstanding Booth," which was pretty cool. The first day I spent as a lion, and the other days I help sell Liken and pass on the enthusiasm for the product.

Las Vegas 4th

It's the 4th of July, and I'm in Las Vegas with my sister Katie, Justin, Julia, Rachel, Emily, Michael, Melanie and Nate. We are staying at Turnberry Place, a luxury condo on the 12th floor, courtesy of Craig and Sonja Brooksby. Last night a few of us went to see the new Phantom: A Las Vegas Spectacular musical at the Venitian. It was very impressive, i've never seen better sets for a musical. The effects were great, too, especially the fireworks above the rising facade of the Paris Opera House. This morning we had breakfast at Hash House A Go Go, a fun and very filling restaurant. I reccommend the french toast. On the way back to the condo we stopped at the Sahara and rode Speed the Ride roller coaster. Now we're back relaxing until we go back out tonight. Pictures of the trip can be found at www.picasaweb.google/tennor.

Superman Returns

Saw the 10:05 showing last night.

My thougths: (semi-spoiler-free)

Positives:

Fantastic score - William's themes are used a lot, and added to just right. The element of big choir sounds was perfect. Brandon Routh is good as Superman, I'd want to see him do the role again. Kevin Spacey was a GREAT Lex Luthor, and Parker Posey as Kitty was great, too. The CG/Special Effects work was near perfect. Beautiufully shot and designed film, every scene looks good - hooray for the HD Digital cameras!

Neiher positive nor negataives:

Lois Lane was a little young, and a little wimpy, but she grew on me, and I liked her by the end. The actions scenes were fantstatic, but there weren't enough. And some of them seemed to be thrown in there just because we wanted to see Superman in action, and didn't have enough to do with the major plotline.

Negatives:

I liked Lois' son plotline, but I would have rather seen in later in a sequel. Lex's grand plan was evil and murderous, but not very well planned - I would have MUCH rather seen Lex discover and use additional Kyrpotonian technology beyond growing crystals. The last 15 minutes were unnecessary, and left me liking the movie instead of running out and cheering, pretending to fly around like superman.

Overall:

I enjoyed every second of the movie, but I didn't leave cheering like i'd hoped. It was a little slow. I look forward to a sequel.

I'm back. I spend so much time emailing and posting on www.likenthescriptures.com that I rarely come here to blog. I've also discoverd that Picasa allows free picture hosting, and it's very easy. Tha means i'll rarely put pictures here anymore...but they can be found at http://picasaweb.google.com/tennor. I'll post my favorite pictures i've taken on that site. So what's up in my life lately? for the most part, it's been dedicated to work at Liken the Scriptures. I do our website updates, our extras casting, some marketing, some event planning, some store relations, the Liken Party/Mentor program, auditions, firesides, sales, and then a little bit here and there. Keeps me busy, but I do love it. This week we begin filming Daniel and the Lions. I'll be playing Norm, one of the lions! The costumes are really cool, and it's goig to be a great cast. You can read more about it at www.likenthescriptures.com/insider, which is an e-newsletter that I put together at work. The pictures recenlty posted on my picasa site are from my Liken trip to Washington, DC.

It's sunday afternoon, and I'm just enjoying doing NOTHING. I slept a little bit, played "Settlers of Zarahemla" with my roomates, etc. It's been nice.

That is all.
