This was a very good book detailing the journey of the first pioneer company to settle the salt lake valley, the one that included Brigham Young. What caught my attention most was how much many of the pioneers saw the importance of what they were doing. Some considered the group an acutal - not just symbolic - latter-day Israel. I am so greatful for the journey and sacrifice they made.
